Jennifer L. Schenker, Esq.

Jennifer L. Schenker, Esq. is a life-long resident of Long Island, New York.  Ms. Schenker is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of New York State Bar Associations and the Matrimonial and Women’s Bar Association.

Ms. Schenker has extensive experience in dealing with complex matrimonial matters.  Ms. Schenker has worked in the judicial system and has clerked with a well-known Supreme Court Matrimonial Judge and a Suffolk County Family Court Judge handling domestic violence, Orders of Protection and Orders of Custody.

Ms. Schenker is a strong advocate for both the prosecution and defense of family offenses. She handles cases through trial that relate to family offenses; violence; Stay Away Orders of Protection; CPS allegations; child abuse; spousal abuse; child neglect; Article 10 proceedings; removal of children; termination of parental rights and/or change of custody and guardianship.

In addition to Ms. Schenker’s highly proficient matrimonial skills, she has been instrumental in defending CPS clients from unfounded and overzealous CPS investigators and agents who seek to indicate clients for small and petty offenses and/or otherwise seek to charge good parents with unfounded and unsubstantiated allegations. Ms. Schenker has traveled from Suffolk County, throughout New York State up to the Canadian border on high profile cases involving violence and unfounded allegations of drug use and/or maltreatment, and she has championed parents’ rights to raise their children free from state, county and local authorities.

While clerking in the matrimonial courts, she gained valuable insight to the inner workings of the court system and the "culture and practice" of the judges and their staff with respect to matrimonial clients in high profile and high conflict Supreme Court divorce cases. During her clerkship in the Family Court, she was involved in all aspects of the administration of justice by participating in and witnessing how decisions are made.

Her experience has become valuable and uniquely indispensable. We are pleased to have added Ms. Schenker to our staff in order to better serve our clients.
